Carolyn is the history buff, having taught college-level Nevada History for many years. During her 34 years in Nevada she collected a large number of books about the American West, now available in the Library. Gourmet cooking is her hobby.
Chris is a mechanical engineer with over thirty years of service in the rail transit industry. He hails from Switzerland originally. He is the handyman in the family with a special love for wood working. Chris also speaks Swiss and German fluently, and will gladly carry your luggage up the stairs to your room.
In 2004 we purchased the house, which many locals had feared would succumb to the elements. After a three-year, award-winning restoration from the ground up, the "B" Street House is now as beautiful as she was in the 1870's. For details and pictures see our "Restoration" page.
What you need to know:
For safety and health reasons we do not allow smoking, candles, incense burning, or any kind of open flame
Sorry, no pets
For cancellations less than 5 days in advance we will have to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted room rate
Check-in time is 3 p.m. - Check-out time is 11 a.m.
These accommodations are not suitable for small children
A 10% Storey County lodging tax is added to all room rates and fees quoted
For no-shows will have to charge the full amount of the quoted rate
